How it all began
The Vertigo map first appeared on March 13, 2001, in Counter-Strike 1.1 , created by Chris "Narby" Auty and later updated by Valve.
Vertigo is a symmetrical map with two bomb sites (A and B) , set in a modern skyscraper, where players must combine vertical gameplay and tactics. In CS2, the map has been modernized: new lighting, realistic textures and subtle layout adjustments, but the character and tension remain intact.
Design and environment
Vertigo takes place on the roof and upper floors of a skyscraper , with open platforms, elevators, staircases, and makeshift structures.

CT Spawn is located on the lower floor of the building, near the elevators and ramps.

T Spawn is on the opposite side of the building, with access to platforms and stairs.
The map is known for its vertical gameplay , a combination of open clashes and narrow passages , where every corner and platform can decide the course of a match.
