Anubis: The Complete Guide to the Legendary Map and 3D Printed Model
Hey gamers! Youngtendo from youngtendo.fun is back with another icon – a 3D printed model of the Anubis map from the latest version of Counter-Strike 2. This map has quickly established itself in the competitive map pool and is now a modern CS2 classic.
In this guide, we'll go over the creation of the map, its design, interesting facts, and most importantly, a complete overview of the callouts , which you can also find on my 3D printed model. Let's get started.
How it all began
Originally created as a community project, Anubis made its way into Counter-Strike during the CS:GO era. Thanks to its balanced layout, strong mid, and unique environment, it quickly made its way into the official competitive pool.
With the arrival of CS2 in 2023, Anubis received a complete visual upgrade - new lighting, better spatial readability, and more modern materials. However, the game flow was preserved, making the map immediately readable even for experienced players.
Design and environment
Anubis is inspired by North African and Egyptian architecture , combining open streets, stone ruins, narrow junctions, and a prominent water channel that plays a vital role in movement around the map.
The map is divided into:
-
And the part with altitude positions (Heaven, Plateau),
-
B section with water, covered entrances and a strong post-plant,
-
Mid , which decides the pace of the entire round.
My 3D printed version of Anubis captures all of these levels, heights, and passages – ideal for both display and tactical planning.
Interesting things that will get you
-
Anubis works significantly with verticality - Drop, Heaven, and Sniper Nest are key positions.
-
The water and canal are not just a visual element, but a full-fledged play area.
-
Top Mid + Bridge control gives a huge advantage in rotations.
-
The map is very sensitive to poor communication - without callouts you will quickly get lost.
